Gratitude + Favorite skills.

I talked with my mom today, and she recommended I start a gratitude journal.  What better place to put the occasional gratitude entry than my secret secret blog?

Here are the things that I’m grateful for today.

  1. Having a heart-to-heart with my mom on the telephone.
  2. Text messaging with Angie.
  3. How cute Michael is when he gets psyched up for his kickball team.
  4. Arthur coming over to comfort me when I was crying.
  5. Finishing my article by the end of the day today
  6. Obama winning North Carolina.
  7. Getting a free bag of potato chips because I got locked out of Briatore upon trying to pick up my sandwich.
  8. Michael picked up a little stereo headphone jack adapter for me from Radio Shack, to replace the one I broke. :-)

Also, here is a list of my top ten favorite skills (according to the exercise in What Color is Your Parachute?):

  1. Taking the lead on projects in an independent, diplomatic and supportive fashion.
  2. Being resourceful and deliberate in order to produce tangible results,
  3. Communicating to a group by performing, entertaining, inspiring, by using perceptiveness.

  5. Communicating to a group through speech or writing in a fun, creative and flexible way.
  6. Imagining, inventing and creating ideas for projects in a practical manner
  7. Teaching, training or designing educational events to a group of people in a fun and creative way.
  8. Visualizing an end product, and being extremely economical and effective in pursuit of it.
