Smiles
I just got back from dinner at the Asteroid Cafe Restorante e Bar Italiani. Morgan, my carpool buddy, turned 28 this past Saturday (which also happens to be my sister’s birthday). Another friend, Beth, and Morgan’s mom, Christine, were both there as well. It was really nice — the food was heavenly, and Morgan’s mom is a very sweet, talkative British lady.
In other news, I have an interview lined up for Thursday morning at the Puget Sound Blood Center for a position in hospital support. I’m pretty excited. I am playing around with the idea of going back to school to pursue a Medical Laboratory Technologist degree. This would require me to take all the classes I was scared to take when I was at Dartmouth — chemistry, organic chemistry, biology, etc. — but I am realizing that I really want to learn all that stuff. Thankfully, University of Washington has GREAT departments for any health science-related fields. We’ll see what happens.
Overall I feel happier. Like I can handle what life throws at me. It’s wonderful.
